- Free Dialysis: More than 150 patients from Kutch regularly benefit from our free kidney dialysis facility, eliminating the need to travel long distances for treatment.
- Free Cataract Surgeries: Restoring vision and improving quality of life through thousands of successful surgeries.
- Concessional Services: Dental treatments, hearing aids for the hearing impaired, General OPD, and ambulance services at nominal rates.
Fulfilling a Lifesaving Dream
Two decades ago, patients suffering from kidney diseases in Kutch had no choice but to travel over 400 kilometers to cities like Nadiad, Ahmedabad, or Rajkot for dialysis treatment. Witnessing the hardships faced by these patients, our Chairman, MJF Lion Bharat A.D. Mehta, envisioned a solution: establishing a dialysis center within Kutch.
His dream became a reality, and today, we proudly provide free dialysis sessions, ensuring that the people of Kutch receive the care they need without the burden of travel or cost.

Our Story : LNM Group Lions Hospital & Research Center
In the aftermath of the devastating January 26, 2001, earthquake that shook Kutch, the region faced immense challenges in rebuilding and providing healthcare to its people. Recognizing this critical need, Mr. Lakshmi Narayan Mittal, famously known as Asia’s “Steel King,” envisioned a state-of-the-art hospital to serve the people of Kutch and aid in their recovery.
After conducting a thorough survey of Kutch, Mr. Mittal identified the Lions Club of Bhuj as a trusted organization to manage and operate this hospital. The Lions Club, with its proven track record of service, was the ideal partner to bring this ambitious vision to life.
Simultaneously, the then Governor of Lions Clubs International District 3232-J, MJF Lion Bharat A.D. Mehta, played a pivotal role in securing a substantial donation from the Lions Clubs International Foundation (LCIF). His tireless efforts and dedication ensured that the financial resources required for this noble project were realized.
With the combined support of these two visionary contributions, the LNM Group Lions Hospital & Research Center was established in Rawalwadi, a serene and picturesque hilly area within Bhuj city, on April 11, 2004.
Over the years, the hospital has grown into a trusted institution, dedicated to providing high-quality, accessible healthcare to the people of Kutch. Our core philosophy revolves around serving humanity selflessly, ensuring that even the most vulnerable sections of society receive medical attention.
Milestones in Service
- Dialysis Services: We have conducted over 182,000 free dialysis sessions since our inception.
- Eye Department: Through collaborations with donors like Navneet Foundation, we have performed over 40,000 free cataract surgeries to restore vision for those in need.
- Outpatient and Specialized Services: Our hospital houses a General OPD, Dental Clinic, Pathology Laboratory, and Audiometry Department, providing comprehensive care.
- Ambulance Services: We provide free ambulance services to ensure timely access to healthcare.

MJF Lion Bharat A. D. Mehta, a visionary leader and passionate philanthropist, has played a pivotal role in the establishment and success of the LNM Group Lions Hospital & Research Center Bhuj. As the Governor of Lions Clubs International District 3232-J during the year 2003-04, he laid the foundation for this transformative institution, driven by his unwavering commitment to serving the people of Kutch.
A renowned ‘AA’ class contractor of Kutch by profession, Mr. Mehta retired from his professional career to fully dedicate himself to social service. Through his leadership in the Lions Club, he has been instrumental in initiating and supporting numerous impactful projects.
Joining the Lions Club in 1985, he has since held a range of prestigious positions, including Club President, District Governor, and Multiple Council Treasurer. His tireless service has earned him numerous accolades and recognition for his contributions to the community and beyond.
As Chairman of the hospital, MJF Lion Bharat A. D. Mehta continues to inspire and lead with his vision, ensuring that quality healthcare reaches the most underserved sections of society. His dedication to service exemplifies the true spirit of humanitarian leadership.
